Now more than ever, health and happiness is of the utmost importance. That's why this November, GWM are taking part in Movember.
Movember is a leading charity that strive to change the face of men’s health, transforming the way health services reach and support men across the globe. Each year they work towards tackling important issues such as mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.
On supporting Movember,
GWM's CEO Lyon Botha said :
“Movember has always been a very important charity for me as it is a time to remember a friend who died from testicular cancer at the age of 21.
The charity now focuses on a broader spectrum of health issues men face such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention."
"I would like to encourage everyone who reads this to not stay silent on these topics! Encourage each other (or your partner) to get a check up or speak to a friend, family member or professional about mental health issues."
In recent years GWM have undertaken a number of charitable adventures, ranging from cycling the distance between London and Geneva, to 10k races in Dubai, and trekking the Rift Valley for a BBC documentary that took a class of troubled children from the UK to Tanzania”
GWM's Board of Directors said:
“As a leadership team, we strongly encourage any charitable endeavours no matter how big or small. We are looking forward to seeing the teams weird and wonderful 'tache's appearing over the coming weeks, and we are confident they will complete this challenge and raise some much needed funds for a truly worthwhile cause in the process!"
