Job Description

The Global Partners team is a unique proposition within international financial planning. Made up of 3,500 expat clients, and growing; this is a relatively new division with a client relationship culture designed to maximise the effectiveness of ongoing advice and to fulfil new levels of expectation from internationally mobile clients. The team is made up of a Manager, Senior Advisers, Trainee Advisers, Associates and Interns. As a company we also have highly qualified investment specialists and technical specialists to support advisers and assist with in depth analysis and planning for our clients.

This role is salaried, with an uncapped commission structure and clear career path, targets, KPIs and performance monitoring. GWM will also help and financially support you with CISI/CII examinations, in order for you to be RDR qualified to Level 4 and beyond.

You will be trained extensively on how international financial planning fits into the life of an ex-pat client. You will also have access to our online training portal ‘Illuminate’ to assist in your continued professional development and acquiring industry recognised exams.

Your day to day role will involve servicing our global client bank which will include reviewing existing plans and investments, to help their clients plan for their short, medium and long-term financial goals, such as buying a home, paying for their children's education, and retirement.

You will proactively work from our CRM system to find clients that require a client care call, portfolio rebalance or review. Depending on the client category you will make an appointment for the client to be reviewed by yourself or one of the senior advisers. You will also respond to the extensive inbound client queries we receive on a daily basis. Your work will be mainly telephone based but there will be skype and face to face meetings as well.

Servicing the clients will include but not be limited to:

  • Recommending investment solutions and services that are suitable for prospects and clients based on their objectives, resources, time horizon, risk profile, and preferences
  • Advising and arranging of products including insurance, investments, tax planning and estate planning
  • Maintain proper documentation following pre-set guidelines established by compliance and management
  • Comply with all industry rules and regulations

You will be expected to progress and develop your business by:

  • Deciding how to build your practice by choosing your clients and the markets you want to pursue
  • Asking existing clients for referrals
  • Marketing to clients actively via telephone, email, seminars and events

Desired Skills and Experience

  • An individual with 1-4 years of experience within Financial Services, ideally within personal banking, account/relationship management or client services
  • Ability to service existing clients and identify new areas of potential business
  • Comfortable dealing with high net worth individuals
  • Financial degree graduate
  • Strong, confident, eloquent phone manner
  • Good soft skills (organized- Excel driven, analytical, flexible, pro-active, creative)
  • The ability to keep up to date with market trends and latest financial news

  • Commission and bonuses based on revenue generated. This will begin after your 6-month probation
  • Full support and payment through the CISI Level 4 exams. Further guidance towards exams after that point as well
