GWM Cycleathon - BIKE TO SCHOOL - London to Geneva in 24 hours

On Friday 13th September, GWM Geneva will host the first ever GWM Cycleathon where Peter and the team will be attempting to raise CHF 6123 whilst cycling 612.3 miles in 24 hours. 612.3 miles is the distance between our London and Geneva offices. Keep your eyes peeled for information on how to donate, training updates and how to watch live as the team get in the saddle.

As a company that helps expats around the globe protect and grow their savings to secure their perfect future, raising money for UNICEF projects allows GWM to support children who are living in hardship and give them a chance to build a better future. UNICEF works in over 190 countries and territories to save children’s lives, to defend their rights, and to help them fulfil their potential, from early childhood through adolescence.

UNICEF’s “Living Schoolyards"

Massive deforestation and a one-sided focus on maize have contributed to Malawi suffering particularly badly from the consequences of the El Niño phenomenon in late 2015. With the "Living Schoolyards" concept, UNICEF uses school lessons to strengthen the health of children and the resilience of the population in the long term.

Living Schoolyard aims to increase food security through the installation of food gardens in primary schools and increase children’s knowledge of food growing. Nutrition is an important aspect of children’s education – only well-nourished and healthy children can successfully take part in education and seize the chance to create promising futures for themselves.
